Yovie Widianto

Yovie Widianto is Indonesian pianist and musician. He was born on 21st January 1968, and now he is 51 years old. Yovie widianto is known as founder and one of Kahitna's members as a keyboardist. Not only Kahitna, but also Yovie and Nuno and 5 Romeo. He also made some solo albums in collaboration with famous singers at that time.

Yovie lives in a family that's very close to music. When he was 5 years old, he starts to know and learn Jazz music. He learn Jazz music from his Uncle, Hasbullah Ridwan (He is father from Elfa Secioria, Indonesian senior musician). He started his career by becomeing a keyboardist in a band with jazz flow and perform in Savoy Homann Hotel, Bandung. Ruth Sahanaya and Trie Utami were his band partner.

Yovie graduated from Padjajaran University in politics sciences with cum laude predicate. He have received many National awards and also International awards. One of his international award was The Best Composer in Taipei, Taiwan, 1991 and also The Best Songwriter in 2009 at the AMI awards, and many more.

Yovie married in 1998 with Dewayani and has two children named Arsy and Yara. Now, his son Arsy Widianto has started his career as a musician.

His arrangement have special characteristics, now his songs are well known and he often collaborates with another famous musicians in Indonesia. One of his famous songs is Adu Rayu that collaborated with Tulus and Glenn Fredly.

He is the one who inspired me to play music. I have loved his songs and become his fan since i was 5 years old.
